Stringbeans Quartet

We are The Stringbeans

Based out of Bath/Bristol (UK), the Stringbeans have played with pop luminaries such as Peter Gabriel, Newton Faulkner, and The Heavy, as well as performing for BBC Television & Radio. Their material has earned them top gig and festival spots across the UK and comparisons to Penguin Cafe Orchestra. Cellist Beth Porter also performs with Mercury Prize nominee Eliza Carthy, The Bookshop Band, and with her band The Availables. Emma Hooper is the author of the international bestselling novel Etta and Otto and Russell and James, and has toured Europe extensively with her solo project Waitress for the Bees. Sue Lord has toured around the world with Daisy Chapman, and Ian Vorley plays baritone saxophone and prefers to keep a low profile.
